Tried to design a flamethrower sound.

Recording of my own fireplace made with a tascam dr-40 (internal mics). I blasted up the lower freqs, kept the mid-range close to 0, then from 5-16 khz went back way up, slowly tapering down to below zero for the highest frequencies. All editing done in audacity, compressed using soundkonverter in linux. This is a good sound effect for either a bonfire or a house burning down, which is what i made it for.

Stove fire burners ignited one by one (having their drip bowls on). Recorded with a zoom h2 positioned in the middle of stove burners. Two sparklers recorded simultaneously about 25cm apart and 30cm from the mics. Starts with two matches being lit at once.

It's a strange sound a candle was making while lit. I've pushed three burnt-off matches as a replacement for the wick, and they created such a shape of flame, that was "pumping" creating a strange buzzing sound. Recorded with a zoom h2.

It's an unedited recording of me lighting some matches in a quiet room. You can hear the sounds of matchbox's geting open, closed, the match being rubbed against the side of the box, matches catching fire and burning, finnally getting extinguished by waving. This recording could use some highpass filtering to make it sound less in-your-face. Recorded with a zoom h2. Originally 96khz/24-bit wav, examined and converted to flac using audacity.

On the balcony, at our apartment in podgorica, montenegro; around 5pm, an hour after sunset; with the shotgun, sennheiser mkh 416 microphone, pointed out over the roofs. It's a very quite evening, just after new years, and you can hear a few holiday firecrackers, or petarda. Recorded with the tascam dr 100 recorder.

The sound of ethanol being burned out of a glass jug. This sound was made by putting a small amount of ethanol into a glass jug and allowing the vapors to fill the container. Recorded with a cardioid msh6 capsule - stereo mic open at certain extent - (via the zoom h6) the fireplace's sound gives a more discreet impression.

This is an edit of my previous sound: m4 assault rifle firing. Sound was requested in comments. I edited the original sound to produce a 30 (i counted) round long burst.

A mixture of heavy and light bursts of machine gun fire created through compiling, mixing and processing multiple audio files to create the desired result of rapid bursts. Mixdown is in stereo, making use of spatial panning and volume adjustments.
